OUR BELIEFS

THE WORD

The Word became flesh through the Messiah. Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. There were many authors over the span of several many years, but they spoke from God as they were prompted along by the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is living and active and it cuts between soul and spirit.

John 1:1-4 | 2 Timothy 3:16-17 | 2 Peter 1:21 | Hebrews 4:12

THE FATHER

There is one true God – Yahweh– the Creator of the Universe. His sovereignty is unmatched. He is all-present, all-knowing and all-powerful. The Creator desires a relationship with His creation. He desires devotion and intimacy, as we belong to Him. He searches the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.

Genesis 1:1 | Colossians 1:16-17 | Deuteronomy 6:4 | Exodus 3:6 |Psalm 139:1-6 | Hebrews 4:13 | 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 | 2 Chronicles 16:9

JESUS

The Lord gives us our choice to follow Him or not. In fact, our sin separates us from His presence. There is this wedge between us and the Father. However, the Lord sent His Son, who existed from the beginning, from Heaven to Earth to be our mediator. The Messiah – Yeshua (Jesus) – goes to our Father on our behalf.

Jesus fulfilled every Messianic prophecy and proved to everyone He is the Messiah. He lived a perfect life while experiencing every situation and every emotion we feel daily as human beings. He never sinned – the only one ever. In His perfection, He took our sin – past, present, and future – on the cross. He defeated death and resurrected to the right hand of the Father in Heaven.

There is no other way to the Father than through Jesus.

Genesis 2:15 | Isaiah 59:2 | 1 Timothy 2:5 | Matthew 5:17-20 | Hebrews 4:15 | 1 Peter 2:24 | John 14:6

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Spirit of God existed in the beginning. The Holy Spirit was given to individuals in the Old Testament for specific seasons. However, when Jesus ascended to the Father – the Holy Spirit was given as a gift in fullness to all and any believer who is a follower of Jesus.

We are carriers of His presence and His precious Spirit, who has seven expressions: He is the Spirit of the Lord, Spirit of wisdom, Spirit of understanding, Spirit of counsel, Spirit of strength, Spirit of knowledge, and Spirit of the fear of the Lord.

 Genesis 1:2 | John 14:26 | John 20:22 | Isaiah 11:1-3 | Revelation 3:1 | Revelation 4:5

SIN

Sin was introduced into mankind through Adam, the first man. His sin enslaved the world and mankind to the power of the devil. All of mankind has sinned and the penalty is death, separation from God. Jesus Christ, God’s son, paid the penalty of sin to reconcile mankind to God. Everyone who repents and trusts in Jesus for forgiveness of sin is forgiven and free from the curse of sin and death.

Romans 5:12-21 | Romans 6:23 | Ephesians 2:1-5

SALVATION

Salvation is a free gift that comes from God through belief in Jesus’ finished work on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. Salvation is freedom from the power of sin & death for body, soul, & spirit (Romans 1:16; Ephesians 2:8-9).

Romans 1:16 | Ephesians 2:8-9

THE CHARACTER & GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT

With the Holy Spirit living on the inside of His believers, we now take on His character and gifting. The Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. He also graces each believer with spiritual gifts. These gifts are used to serve one another and should be used in all aspects of our gathering together as the Church.

We unequivocally know – and have seen – the Holy Spirit minister in all His gifts today. His movement and engagement did not end at one time period. His ministry is active and on-going today.

Galatians 5:22-23 | Romans 12:6-8 | 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 | 1 Peter 4:11

MIRACLES/HEALINGS

Miracles and healings were the works Jesus and His disciples demonstrated to confirm the good news about God’s Kingdom making its advance against the dominion of the devil. All believers today are empowered to demonstrate these works and thereby advance His Kingdom (Matthew 4:17, 23, 12:28, 28:19-20; John 9:4, 10:37; Mark 16:17-20; 1 Corinthians 12:9-10).

Matthew 4:17 | John 9:4 | Mark 16-17-20

THE CHURCH

We are the Body of Christ together to build His Church. Jesus is the Head of the Church as our perfect leader. We all – as the body – are various parts utilized to reconcile people back to Christ. We are His ambassadors and will share His message to those who’ve never heard.

We are devoted to the Word and growing in Biblical literacy. We are brothers and sisters meeting together in homes. We are operating together in the gifts of the Spirit accompanied with signs and wonders. We care and ensure needs are met within the Body. We celebrate His presence together.

 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 | Hebrews 2:10 | 2 Corinthians 5:18 | Matthew 28:19-20 | Acts 1:8 | Acts 2:42-47 | Matthew 25:34-46

THE SECOND COMING

The Messiah is coming back to establish the New Heavens and New Earth. This is the full completion of the kingdom. We don’t focus on the end-times timelines, but the end picture — Jesus here with us in a New Heaven and New Earth. Forever!

Revelation 19:7-9 | 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 | Titus 2:13 | Mark 13:32 | John 14:3
