It all started in 2006
The vision of Crossing Place Church — the original name of our church — was initially birthed inside Shane and Bliss Harris as they planted our church in 2006. They saw a church impact a community through Holy Spirit encounters and the supernatural hand of God.
We met in the Morgan City Auditorium for the first five years before relocating to our current address!
In 2011, the Harris’ transitioned and our next pastors — Den and Bonnie Hussey — came. The Hussey’s had previously served in youth ministry for over two decades and were youth pastors at Crossing Place Fellowship in Franklin, LA.
The Hussey’s led CPC into many firsts and were impactful high-level leaders within the church and St. Mary Parish. Their relational footprint and care for transcended all walls.
In 2021, our current pastors — Matt and Kayla Marcantonio — stepped in for the Hussey’s. The Marcantonios had been on staff at CPC since 2015. They were both marked with wild God-encounters in January 2020, which launched a shift in their personal (and our church) life to help establish a church that is unapologetically presence driven.
In 2023, we changed our name to Kingdom Come to identify with how the LORD was modeling us within our community.
We’re thankful for all our pastors, staff, and people of years old and years new!
