PURPLE LEMON
The Purple Lemon is a non-profit organization that hosts a thrift store and food bank. They distribute food every Thursday to those in need in St. Mary Parish.
The Uncommon Grounds, which is connected with the Purple Lemon, is a coffee house that is staffed by individuals who have recently graduated from Teen Challenge. This program allows these graduates to get working experience, an income, and place to live before transitioning.
The Purple Lemon was started by Stacey Lancaster, who has attended our church for years, and is mainly staffed by individuals a part of Kingdom Come Church! Every Thursday, some on our staff, as well as others in our church serve by distributing food, running some of the admin, unloading trucks, and praying for others.
